Senior Housing Accessibility Modifications Program
FUNDED BY ALASKA HOUSING FINANCE CORPORATION
This program, also called Senior Access, provides grants to improve home accessibility for seniors (55 years of age or older) currently in need of such modifications. Grants may be up to $15,000 for eligible senior households in owner-occupied homes and rentals, up to $5,000 for eligible tenants living in small (5 beds or less) state-licensed assisted living facilities. Modifications cannot exceed $20,000 per assisted living facility. Alaska CDC provides Senior Access services in the Municipality of Anchorage and Whittier, Mat-Su Borough, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Copper River Basin (Mentasta Lake to Cordova), and City of Kodiak.
